Mr. Hayes openly admits he is made “uncomfortable about the word hero because it seems to me that it is so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war”...

Apparently he is intellectually incapable of separating the valor of our fighting men and women from the causative political considerations...

I must respect him for admitting his limitations publicly...

I suggest Mr. Hayes confine his further remarks regarding our HEROES to a simple occasional “thank you” as appropriate, and leave discussions of valor versus why we fight to people capable of understanding such things...

I guess we ought to give him props for being the first human to ever use the words “rhetorically” & “proximate” consecutively.

I’m surprised it didn’t break his jaw.
