I agree with that. I don’t believe there will be an impeachment of Bambi for this issue but What If?
Biden becomes president. Does he automatically get all the delegates Obama has for the Dem nomination? What would happen next?
I know, I know, not gonna happen, but just asking.
For purposes of argument, then, let's say it happens.
Certainly, Biden would become President.
As to how the Democrat party would select a new nominee:
1. You can assume the party has some rules that anticipate the absence of a candidate at the time of the convention (due to death...or impeachmnent).
2. Given that this is the Democrat party we're talking about, you can also assume that those rules will go out the window. This is the party of Torricelli, after all. They make up the rules as they go along -- dependent totally upon what they perceive to be the most advantageous to the party.
No matter how they might warp the rules, Hillary would end up with the nomination...
