The District Governor of the Shechem (Nablus) District in the Palestinian Authority called upon the international community Sunday to intervene quickly and provide the Palestinian Authority with protection from Jews.
AlBakri warned that "The ongoing aggressiveness of the settlers will lead to violence in the entire region, the results of which cannot be predicted. The continued violence by settlers requires international intervention, he argued.
He said that the Jews are interested in "widening" the cycle of violence in the summertime, in order to cause Arab farmers financial losses.
"The escalation in attacks by settlers would not have occurred were it not for the diplomatic support that the Israeli government enjoys," he added.

Well, you know that the Arabs are well known for their peaceful, bucolic farming lives, and those pesky Jews are famous for inciting violence everywhere they live...
Do I have that right?/sarc
At first I misread the headline. I thought the governor of Pennsylvania wanted the UN to intervene.
Indeed, there will be UN or foreign troops “keeping the peace” in our American cities long, long, long before Israel allows any such foreign invasion of its little land. A simple reality that any number of silly articles or “requests” won’t change. Maybe in a couple hundred years certain hostile people will grow up, discover true faith, and behave more like civilized human beings. Or maybe not. I know I won’t last long enough to see it, at any event.
(There are lots of rumors also about the federales trying to set up roadside car searches, groping stalls, xrays ...along American highways (!) ....and, unlike the Israelis, we don’t have hostile neighboring countries to contend with ... Does anybody know what’s the real scoop on this? Would Congress let such a thing happen to us? Who, if any, in Congress are backing this?)
Not needed at this time.
The Amish have been quiet of late.

How are proper vassal subcontractors to carry out their peaceful suborbital rocket tests?
Your point is well taken. But my question, for whatever its worth, was meant seriously. Alas. We may be in more trouble than I’d thought?
Sure. That’s what the last subway crazy was shouting at me before I left NYC, so it must be so.
Sounds like NYC! :-)
When I read this it reminded me of that family that was slaughterd in the middle of the night. I still remember those photos in my minds eye.
UN: Butt out!
We don’t butt out. We can’t. We have to take a bad situation and make it terrible, and take a terrible situation and do nothing about it. It’s what we do. Equal distribution of death, destruction and misery. When the rest of Israel is as horrible as Ghaza, our job will be done. Our motto: “He maketh a dessert and calleth it peace.”
