Khmer Rouge's Killing Field was a few years of insanely brutal atrocity. What we have in N. Korea is decades of all-permeating brutality in the whole country, producing more victims in the process. It is one of a kind since it persisted so long and the personality cult has intensified rather than softened progressively until very recently, when deplorable economic situation started to eat away government control by forcing even officials to fend for themselves to secure meals. This regime will fight to its last breath to stay “unchanged.” The whole purpose of N. Korean regime is to remain “unchanged” and perpetuate itself. This is a typical behavior of a cult. N. Korea is not another dictatorship, but a brutal fanatical cult.
Only when you view N. Korea as a giant cult, you can understand its behavior.
