Boston Globe: Documents “raise further questions” about Warren’s story on ancestry
Hot Air ^ | 5/25/12 | Ed Morrissey

Elizabeth Warren might have hoped to scare off more media inquiries into her claims of Native American ancestry as a career boost yesterday, but today’s front page of the Boston Globe makes it clear the problem isn’t going away — and in fact might get worse. Warren has insisted that she only cited her supposed Cherokee ancestry once at Harvard to meet others like herself, even though there is no evidence she took steps to socialize among other Native Americans at Harvard. A Globe review of documentation suggests that Harvard and/or Warren repeatedly made those claims, and that even if Warren had believed herself to be 1/32nd Cherokee, she wouldn’t have met the definition for inclusion

Is there any penalty for lying on a resume?

The Yahoo CEO gets nuked but not Elizabeth Warren. Why is that?

Apparently Harvard doesn’t care if you lie on your resume, if you happen to be an extreme leftist and in lock step with their ideology. Then you get a pass.

What a joke - this liar should have been hounded off the ticket. If a Republican had done this, these leftist media hacks would be melting before your eyes on television. Their bodies would be bursting into flames. Now, the story is Senator Brown’s avoiding the real issues by bringing this up.

Great entertainment: liberals being hoisted on their own petards!

One of the comments to the article:
><So this story tells me a few things

1. Both Elizabeth Warren and Harvard winked through this whole “minority” business, because it benefitted both of them to do so. Call it a convenient untruth. Who would this little lie harm? Warren was only teaching what are supposed to be the finest legal minds in the country. It’s not like she was ever going to have a political career.

2. If any Republican had pulled something like this, the outrage from the left would be extreme.

3. If the Globe is now chasing this story, it is a serious problem for Warren. A little late to the party, folks at the Globe, but nice to see you here.

Maybe the Globe thinks it will make the voters more likely to vote for her if she's a known liar.

The woman was a professor of law at Harvard. Does anyone really believe she was ignorant of the requirements for inclusion. She committed fraud. She knew she was fraudulently receiving economic and other benefits. She should have to disgorge any and all economic benefits she received (grants etc.) She should be tried for fraud.

The people of Mass. who do not care about this as an important issue are idiots who get what they deserve. Unfortunately, those idiots are foisting their incompetence on the rest of us by electing “their” person to a position of national influence. Wake up Massholes! We do not need any more frauds and cheats in public service.

Another great pun from the Globe comments:
>>Totem Pol

more comments
>>And a new question. How many of you here would be willing to give Liz Warren a pass on the minority claim, if she had claimed to be 1/32 African American? Would the NAACP stand shoulder to shoulder with her, or would they say something along the lines of “Are you freaking kidding me?”

>>The brutal irony in Prof. Warren’s deception is that it is far more likely that her ancestors participated in the persecution of Native Americans that that she has any Native American DNA.

Yet she used the lie to further her career... it is truly nauseating.

Depends on who lied, I guess -- wasn't there a Harvard student thrown out for it a while back?

I'm waiting for the Justice Dept investigation of Harvard's reporting of the ratio of minority applications to hires. They used to track that anyway; hard to believe they've stopped!

Prob'ly be a long wait . . . they're busy investigation some coffee shop on the South Shore (Mary Ann's?) for using pretty girls in their ads or something.

I guess I should quit picking on harvard. At least they know how to get ketchup out of a bottle. Meanwhile, over at MIT, things aren’t going so good.......

MIT Prof A - “These MIT cafeteria french fries sure are bland. I wish I could get the ketchup out of the bottle to give them a little more zing.”

MIT Prof B - “Maybe we could pass a positive current through the ketchup and a negative current through the fries...”

MIT Prof A - “Tried that. Burned the french fries. I was thinking of perhaps a small thermonuclear explosion to force the ketchup out.”

MIT Prof B - “No. Remember how that worked when we tried that with getting the last of the toothpaste out of the tube? That building is still off-limits.”

MIT Prof A - “Nanobots....we could have nanobots with shovels scoop the ketchup out of the bottle.”

Busboy - “Why don’t you just turn the bottle upside down?”

MIT Prof A - “Must be a creationist.”

Yup, and thanks to Avi Nelson who said a few wks back when filling in for Howie, “Sandy, can you find a song from
Annie Get Your Gun, it’s called I’m an Indian Too”. They found it (probably on YouTube) and it has spread, most notably in a hilarious video from Republican Party Animals.
Avi may have been the catalyst.

“I think it is disrespectful to the Cherokee people. She continues to blame this on her opponent, failing to see that the people she stepped on and used to get where she is today want an answer too.”–Twila Barnes, a registered member of the Cherokee Nation

Bingo..#3..spot on!!!..If the Globe is now piling on..Warren is toast..

Actually, in Mass, a more likely "minority" is a GOP member of the House delegation..

Lissenup, white eyes, you're getting my Passamaquoddy up!

Lay off our Native American sister, Elizabeth Warren. As we say on the olde Reservation, "better she inside the teepee, not outside etc. etc. And it's not her fault that her Cherokee ancestors were known for keeping Negro slaves. They were the only slaves that were available.

She is perfect for all of the Massholes. Senator John Kerry, the prominent Irish-American politician, has a chestful of medals given to him by The Great White Father. Warren, the demure Indian Maiden, and the Warrior Senator on the same dais ... just WOW! Talk about healing old wounds ... or wounding old heels.

Vote for Elizabeth, The Cherokee Maiden, or ... does the word "Warpath" still mean anything to you white devils?

Warren wasn’t aware harvard was treating her as a “woman of color”, (a phrase only a socialist democrat would use). Let me tell you. that’s not the only thing she is unaware of. This woman looks utterly spaced out and clueless. BS like this occurs when you have TO MANY doing NOT ENOUGH with to MUCH TIME AND MONEY ON THEIR HANDS. Sounds just like academia and government.

Since hosts like Rush and Howie are playing Half Breed: Irony: From March--"She makes an unbelievable impression,” Cher said in an interview from Malibu, explaining that she had become a fan after watching some of Ms. Warren’s speeches about economic injustice on YouTube. “I’m just thrilled every time I can hear the woman speak.” (NY Times)

What about the minority whose place place she STOLE with her lies? If Warren were a conservative, they would have already dug up someone who did not get in and say it was because of the fraud. Then the conservative would have to bow out in disgrace.
