Exclusive: China leadership rules Bo case isolated, limits purge: sources

(Reuters) - Chinese President Hu Jintao has demanded senior Communist Party officials stifle tensions over the ousting of ambitious politician Bo Xilai and show unity as they prepare for a change of leadership, sources briefed on recent meetings said.
Hu urged the party to close ranks at a meeting of about 200 officials early this month at a Beijing hotel, declaring the downfall of Bo - China's biggest political scandal in two decades - to be an "isolated case", the three sources said.
The sources' comments represent the first confirmation of speculation that Hu recently intervened to prevent a wider rift in the party and to resist pressure from some elements for a wider purge of the populist Bo's policies and supporters.

No mention that the big reason Bo Xilai was deposed was because he was being used as a tool to take control of the Chinese government by George Soros, Paul Desmarais (Canada’s George Soros), et al.

From the Chinese point of view, this is as bad as if the US Secretary of State was secretly in the pay of Iran with the idea that they would eventually become POTUS.
No wonder they are a bit flustered. We can but hope that they “take it personally” against the co-conspirators.

If the latter is the case we can have hope for the transition of China into a better place. However, as the Chinese economy is approaching a hard landing and the risk for a financial meltdown is high anything can happen in China.

Soros has a proven aptitude at sending out feelers to involve himself in the internal matters of other countries, usually by sending in NGOs to form local alliances and buy politicians. However, this technique would not fly in China as they carefully watch foreign NGOs.
So in this case, they probably set up business ventures in Xilai’s city that on the surface were above board, but heavily supported so they were guaranteed to succeed. Then they let Xilai in on the deal, so he could get a piece of the action and claim credit for the success. It would also make his supporters happy by their getting low cost products.
The purpose of this was to ingratiate themselves with Xilai while at the same time making him look good so that he would ascend the political ladder.
Eventually, they were hoping that Xilai might become general party secretary, resulting in a huge ROI as they would have “the ear of the emperor”.
However, somehow part of the Chinese intelligence apparat figured out what was going on. Xilai himself probably got in the spotlight by embracing Cultural Revolution slogans, going politically radical before he had the juice (in his case ‘juche’? (NKor)) to do so.
