Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has endorsed Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), who is facing a Tea Party challenge from former state Sen. Dan Liljenquist (R).
"I want him to win. I join Sean Hannity and Mark Levin and other conservatives who would like to see Mr. Balanced Budget return to Washington," Palin said on Fox News on Tuesday night. "He wants to apply that common-sense economic principle of balanced-budget fiscal responsibility, and I want to see him reelected."
Palin is the latest big-name conservative to signal she has no problem with the six-term senator.
Hatch has a big advantage over Liljenquist his fundraising numbers are much stronger, polls show he remains popular with Republicans overall in the state, and while conservative FreedomWorks is targeting him, the bigger-spending Club for Growth has taken a pass on the race.

Maybe Sarah can join Orrin Hatch and sing a duet of ‘Headed Home’, Hatch’s sappy love song to the late traitor Fat Teddy Kennedy.
This makes no sense at all. Sarah, what are you THINKING?!?
Oh, well, nobody’s perfect.
If I lived in Utah, I’d get a Liljenquist sign for my front yard and a Liljenquist bumper magnet for my car. I’d tell all my friends and neighbors how important it is to vote for Dan Liljenquist in the June primary. Orrin Hatch has served with honor, but he’s become part of the problem and needs to be replaced.
Sarah is starting to show her true self, first McCain for Senate now Hatch.
Major mistake...probably yet another McCain favor since Hatch has long been part of the GOP-E problem. He only got Conservative religion last year after he realized that the TEA party could unseat him just like we did Lugar.
Both she and Duncan Hunter Sr endorsed someone I opposed in the 2010 house race for my district. I disagreed and moved on.
My guy won, no harm no foul.

Im thinking that she is being pragmatic in this know the TP candidate has no shot. It which way the wind blows me thinks.
Sarah makes mistakes, too. Just ignore her recommendation and let it slide this time.
Note: Hatch has made some compromises that I don't like, but he is nowhere near as bad as the dozen or so RINOs that I most want to see tossed out. I'd certainly like to see someone better replace Hatch, but it's nothing like getting rid of Snowe, Collins, Murkowski, McCain, Lugar, and some of the others who have no morals.
Is there something I'm missing on either candidate?
I don’t know what the deal is here, maybe she is friends with the guy who knows. Oh well, she has a pretty strong batting average. Utah is in no danger of going hard left.
For all of faults, back in the day Hatch did a masterful job of securing Clarence Thomas’ confirmation to the SCOTUS (Anita Hill notwithstanding).
No surprise here. I was only surprised that she didn’t endorse Dick Lugar as well. He’s a maverick too, dontcha know.

Pragmatic is a word many, many here ought to get familiar with.
Of course to be consistent, you'd have to include Mark Levin, Hannity and other great conservatives in your denigration, too.
GET REAL.
Palin is one of the greatest figures to hit the political scene in many decades, yet she is human and can make mistakes.
I still have a girl crush.
eye roll
this isn’t new as Palin supported Hatch in the past.

Yep, big mistake as Orin is a part of the reason the republican party is merging with the democrat party idea wise. Orin’s an in the closet liberal who needs to go to the house.
*facepalm*
Sarah ...
Do you really think this Rino squirrel has enough of the right stuff to cut spending 45 percent (the amount required to stop borrowing) let alone chop spending enough to begin paying down the national debt? Hasn't the moron caused enough problems over the past 30 years? Isn't he and his pub club buddies part of the problem ... a big part! Isn't it time to throw his a$$ out of office and bring in somebody who will at least stop making things worse?
