“Shame on those who are pro-abortion!”
Many people aren’t pro-abortion; they just don’t want it to be criminalized. Sort of like the libertarian stance on drugs.
But there are also quite a few people who really love abortions because they make a lot of money from it.

I can’t see it as being any different than, “I oppose murder, but I don’t want it criminalized.”
It’s the position I held briefly in college, and it was motivated by indifference.
