Why do I get the idea that these Dems that are going off the reservation and defending Bain have received heavy contributions from them. I understand Booker had received a total of $240,000 in past contributions from Bain.I do think private equity definitely serves a purpose and Bain was a reputable company in the field. But I do not think that is the real reason why some of these Dems went off the reservation to defend Bain.Dems are not motivated by altruism. Color me cynical but I wonder whether they would have been defending Bain were it not for the contributions.
They get enough money to go “off the reservation” (as you say) but you provide only “I understand...” as proof.
