An interesting book to read shedding light on some of Notre Dame's recent problems is
"What Happened To Notre Dame?" - By Charles E. Rice, Professor Emeritus of Law at the Notre Dame Law School. One hopes that more than just the reduction of the inflow of money influenced Father Jenkins own version of "evolving perspective", (like, maybe his conscience?)

"Conscience?" One would hope so ; although it could be he was just stuck between a rock and a hard place. Maybe Bishop Jenky caused some sway? :)

What Happened to Notre Dame by an alum, Tom O'Toole, '81 (aka Fighting Irish Thomas). Charles Rice wrote and called Tom thanking him for the review...
