Gingrich to Georgia GOP: Let's rally around Romney
The Florida Times Union ^ | May 19, 2012 | Errin Haines

Newt Gingrich took the stage at the Georgia Republican Party state convention on Saturday wearing a Mitt Romney sticker, focusing his attacks on President Barack Obama and attempting to energize the crowd around his former Republican rival.

"To every conservative, everywhere in America: When your choice on the one hand is Barack Obama, and your choice on the other hand is Mitt Romney, no serious conservative could possibly believe that electing Barack Obama is acceptable ... for America."

Got news for you the Keynesian socialist globalists with their CFR cabal have already won. It makes no difference who is elected. There will come a point where the patriots the true Americans will act. It is inevitable. And anyone who thinks otherwise is in self-denial..

4 more years of Obama should have all on this board to crawl over broken glass to vote against him...no matter who it is....it looks like it will be Romney....I heard the Libertarian party will be on the ticket...so that will give the Pride voters an out, and put Obama back in....yea 2 more years of Obama parties on our dime.///I am 7 years old, with stomach cancer...my last wish is to vote against Omana....I do not want to leave this earth with him in change of my children and grand children's life.

sorry for the soap box....I a trying to stay on this earth till November to cast my vote...and November is my Birthday...what a gift it would be with Omama gone..

thanks for reading this (if you did :-))

...unlike some of the “cut off your nose to spite your face” types around here, who would rather see Obama get reelected and watch the country destroyed, than to act sensibly.

The trend on FR has been for Romney Repuplicans to toss unfriendly comments towards Conservatives who say they will vote for someone else that Romney. We say No to Romney and you hurl insults. Just like the leftists do. We've noticed.

>>And please don’t come over here from some parallel universe and say Romney hasn’t won yet. He has.

There were a lot of people in that room (I was there) who don’t think so. I’m guessing as many as 30% of the people there were Paulites, and they were still trying to work a way to get control of who got sent to Tampa.

I have to say this for them, they have a lot of enthusiasm and organization.

Tough crowd here today. Here's the deal to me. I did not want Romney, nor did a whole bunch of us on FR. We obviously didn't do our work well enough for a true conservative to be nominated. I like Newt, but the GOPe, RINOs and others just trashed him from top to bottom and he lost as did Bachman, Cain, Perry, et al.

This election shows to be a time in the history of this great country to save it from communism, socialism or let it continue to slide down the path to ruin under Obama and his disgusting administration.

I believe the pendulum has begun to swing back to sanity but it MUST begin at the local level, as we did in 2010. We cannot win this war overnight, but the battles ARE being won from the bottom up. We The People here in Wisconsin are fighting a fantastic battle against the Unions and the Obama thugs and with God's help, with the hard work of the solid conservatives we WILL pull this off. First to Re-Elect Scott Walker on June 5, then pull WI over to Romney in November.

What we do at the local level DOES make a huge difference. So, for all you nay-sayers, take yourselves OUT of the center of your life, get off your couch and get LOCAL conservatives elected. It's our turn in history to do what is right and some of us are doing it.

Here on FR, why do Romney supporters continually let loose in their post’s last paragraph with a disparaging remark against FReepers who do not agree with them? Just like the leftists do. Why is that?

“We say No to Romney “

Saying “No to Romney” IN THE PRIMARIES is one thing. But the primaries are over and now there are only TWO choices: Obama or Romney.

It’s time to face reality, that Obama is going to destroy the US as we know it, if he gets four more years, unconstrained by having to face another election, he will speed up his efforts. Four years from now, it might be too late to try to reverse it.

With Romney, he may or may not do much, but at least we will stop the active work Obama and his minions are doing to destroy the US.

tsowellfan was being sarcastic, mocking those who rather have Obama reelected, than to face reality and pull the lever for Romney and are feeling self-righteous, while electing Obama.

If Romney is the Republican nominee, perhaps you can get him elected. As explained to me, Free Republic is a stronghold for conservatives, not just a Republican or Romney-operative hangout.

I am not trying to convince you to not vote for R. And I’ve not been trying to shift any blame of any sort to you if R is not nominated and/or elected.

But Romney supporters on FR tend to write in a similar fashion as do the leftists on FR. Don’t appreciate that.

Are you saying that conservatives prefer Obama over Romney?

Are you saying that conservatives prefer Obama over Romney?

Now you're acting up. If you have gleaned that idea from anything I've ever written on FR, then that's what you'll have to carry around with you.

If Romney selected Palin as his running mate, would that bring you on board?

I think that trick only works once.

I doubt the Mittster would pick someone who would overshadow him.

Based on his record, that's not his preference for his top lieutenants and underlings.

I answered a FReeper a month or so ago who posed the same scenario. My answer still is no; not even SP as Veep under R. Because the order and balance of the Universe would be off kilter and wobbly if she accepted such an offer.

If Obozo is re-elected....

1. Amnesty to 30-40 million illegals (and DNC voters)
2. SCOTUS gets their 5th Socialist to totally destroy the Constitution
3. Chance for 2016 election is Slim & None....and Slim’s ridin’ out of town
4. Obozo becomes President for life
5. America becomes a hellhole combo of Mexico/Venezuela

If Romney wins we, at least have a 4-year period to begin recovery or get a true Conservative to primary him out in 2016.

Rumsfeld once said “You go to war with the soldiers you have.”

At this point in time, alas, Romney is our soldier to fight Obozo’s communist coup.
