Excellent article, although taking back the Constitution can not be accomplished via the vote. Our victory in gaining control of the House in 2010 is a case in point. Already, the majority of the freshmen voted in has been corrupted by the GOPe. Get rid of “Boner” and another like him would br voted in against the will of the people. We have allowed our leadership to get too much power with no controls. At this point, I think it’s too late for the ballot box.
In 2010 we gained the power of “NO”, and that’s about all, though I wish they would have used it more. It was a firewall, a backstop, a stop trading signal. Not all the true tea party folks have compromised their values, though I’m sure they’ve compromised on some things - you have to if you want to be a legislator.
I think the house of reps needs to be expanded so that individual reps represent fewer people. As it stands, every census has them representing more people, making them more and more remote.
