Savage can stick it where the sun don’t shine. He’s as responsible as anyone in the “conservative media” for causing Romney to win the nomination. He is the one who “savagely” bashed Newt Gingrich repeatedly during this primary and offered $1 million for him to withdraw from the race. Newt has openly discussed Obama’s Kenyan roots and called his policies socialism. Newt would have not shied away from any relevant line of attack of Obama if he was the nominee.

There’s no doubt that Newt was feisty and confrontive, but he didn’t win the nomination.

He didn’t come close and now he’s too onery to endorse the nominee.

I liked him but there are a bunch of good reasons why he didn’t win and putting him on a pedestal now is foolish.
