Hopelessly missing the point, here.

Most voting in the primary did NOT WANT A RINO! RINORomeny had all the party backing but VERY LITTLE of the rank and file.

This is the result.

Now, all we can do is hope our RINORomney isn’t too bad.

If Romney continues to do well in the polls, look for him to go with someone pretty safe. I’d say now that safe/competent choice would be Portman from OH.

Just predictin’ here, not necessarily advocating....

Well, if "Most voting in the primary did NOT WANT A RINO!" and you claim Romney is a RINO, how come he kept winning primaries? Obviously the primary voters did want him or else he wouldn't be the nominee.

You do know how voting works, don't you?

Looks like Obama has finally started slipping on intrade. He was holding strong at 59.5% to 60.5% all this time but today he is under 59%

Let the freefall begin.

This week at a town hall meeting in Euclid, Ohio a Romney supporter declared, “We have a president right now that is operating outside of the structure of our Constitution…And I want to know – yeah, I do agree he should be tried for treason.”

But, instead of Romney rebuking the woman who accused President Obama of treason – a crime punishable by death – Romney was silent.

It was vintage Romney; instead of confronting her incendiary charge, he pussy-footed around it and spoke to her about constitutional principles instead and allowed her a follow up question.

Later, on the rope-line when Romney faced questions from reporters on whether the president of the United States should face treason charges his response was, “No, of course not.”

“I don’t correct all of the questions that get asked of me,” he added.

Just Romney being Romney…

Some of that was open primaries and some of it was just no real good alternatives. Sure, freepers all like to talk nice about Newt but the truth is he made a crappy candidate.

Why on Earth would Willie Mitty “rebuke” the woman ???

Why would he defend Obama when the woman merely said the truth ???

That is one strange statement from the author...

So, let me see if I have this straight. A cyomunity website can refer to a white guy as “dragging his knuckles”, but if a white website wrote that about a black guy, it would be trayvon all over again, eh?

Just more double standard claptrap from the real racists.

Newt can’t seem to get out of his own way these days. It really makes me sad.

Most voting in the primaries voted for someone who was NOT Myth, but those votes were split between multiple candidates.

You can say that about most every election with more than 2 people in it. In other words, you aren’t saying jack.

How does Portman rank with the NRA? Is he a Muslim-lover like Christie or Daniels?

Excellent, question...looks like the NRA is ok with him:

That says a lot, at least in my opinion.

Not sure where he is on multiculturalism and islamofascism. Maybe Ohioans can answer that better?

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) gained so many points from the right and the left when he was running for president in October 2008 by simply doing the right thing when he corrected an elderly woman who erroneously believed then Sen. Obama was an, “Arab.” That’s why Romney’s reticence is baffling.

Could the reason be that, in spite of all those points gained, McCain lost?

Obviously the primary voters did want him or else he wouldn't be the nominee.

For some reason, GOP primary voters bought the line about Romney being the 'most electable' of the bunch. Once again, we stood back and let the media do a hatchet job on our best candidates, leaving the weakest standing at the end.

What troubles me the most is that Romney has still not come completely clean on his 2 main albatrosses: his erstwhile support for socialized medicine and belief in the socialist-inspired climate hoax. It's now up to us to push him the right way on these issues, in addition to pushing him over the goal line.

I'm not a Romney zealot, but even I know he took the health bill presented to him by the Democrat legislature, watered it down and eventually signed it to the delight of the voters who WANTED IT. If they didn't they would have thrown out all the Democrats and voted in conservative Republicans who would have repealed it.

And I will bet you ANYTHING that as president he will not lift a single finger to push forward ANY legislation dealing with "climate change".

All this hysteria is really ridiculous.
