Remember when the DNC had their convention in NYC. I think it was in the 90s. Anyway, Dinkins was still mayor and the squeegee men were everywhere along with aggressive panhandlers in general. Dinkins had the cops crack down on the panhandlers in the downtown area, and by Madison Sq Garden , lest the out of town Dems get a bad impression of the city. Can't have liberals see the actual results of their policies doncha know. So the homeless get rousted and start infesting residential areas, then after the convention it's business as usual and the homeless are back harassing people on their way to work.
That's exactly what this new policy on illegals reminds me of. Guarantee, right after the election when all the same hack liberals are back in office, this policy will be quietly not enforced.
