Orwell turned out to be a brilliant though unintentional Futurist. I doubt that he would have realized the fine line between Fiction and Non Fiction. Don't kid yourself. Orwell came back from Spain knowing that something was intentionally amiss. He knew a number of Fabian Society members personally.
