Looks like Google has learned a lot from the Red Chinese.

‘Arab Spring’ Google is promoting new businesses, encouraging alternative website and video hosting, alternative search engines, and legal archives (justia). There is nothing unique about what they do. Their search engine used to be DEC’s Altavista. Google is an advertising business. Many already use non-tracking interfaces such as Ixquick to avoid their incessant spamware, and many block their ‘doubleclick’ tracking business. Many wouldn't care if it weren't for Google’s naive support of Marxism, dictators, Islamic Jihad, antisemitism, and racissm; but that is more than enough to inspire me to always look for alternatives. Google’s searches return lots of garbage, and the scrubbing of so much essential information is unforgivable. If they are twenty millisecond's faster than another search engine, you more than lose that advantage by having to sift through the paid sites at the top of their list of search results. Vendors pay for top billing. Let's help Google follow GM and Chrysler, neither of which will ever get my business again.
