Homosexuals themselves seem to reject both nature and nurture explanations. Discovery of a genetic marker would mark them for abortion, like Down’s Syndrome babies.
Nurture arguments would further the idea of homosexuality as a psychological disorder.
In fact, no genetic marker has been discovered for same-sex attraction, but there is a high correlation with childhood abuse, and especially a poor father/son relationship.
Psychologist Joseph Nicolosi is a voice in the wilderness in this regard.
