Top Wisconsin Democrats are furious with the national party and the Democratic National Committee in particular for refusing their request for a major investment in the battle to recall Scott Walker, Im told.
The failure to put up the money Wisconsin Dems need to execute their recall plan comes at a time when the national Republican Party is sinking big money into defending Walker, raising fears that the DNCs reluctance could help tip the race his way.
We are frustrated by the lack of support from the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Governors Association, a top Wisconsin Democratic Party official tells me. Scott Walker has the full support and backing of the Republican Party and all its tentacles. We are not getting similar support.
Considering that Scott Walker has already spent $30 million and were even in the polls, this is a winnable race, the Wisconsin Dem continues. We can get outspent two to one or five to one. We cant get spent 20 to one.
According to the Wisconsin Dem, the party has asked the DNC for $500,000 to help with its massive field operation. While the DNC has made generally supportive noises, the money has not been forthcoming, the official says with less than a month until the June 5th recall election. The DNC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

H/T to Hot Air.
This is red flag that Obama re election is strapped for cash. The DNC already told the Dem Senators and House Reps they are on their own financially.
“Massive field operations” is code word for voting fraud.
There was a thread yesterday about the absence of Washerwoman Schultz from the public lately.
Wonder if there is a purge going on in the DNC?
The DemonRats know they will not win...
I think they believe if the spent the entire war chest on this one race, they could win. Maybe they should be encouraged to do so?
Get WEAC to pay for it. It is the biggest beneficiary.
Gee, and their candidate has been complaining about Walker getting out of state money. What the heck is the National Governors’ Conference?
It was a close race, but now that there is a name to the opposition, the support is softening at the edges. Walker in a close one.
Hey Democrats!
It’s all about Obama!
Deal with it!
ROTFL
She's low on hair gel...
Democrats have to PAY volunteeers to work.
Republican volunteers actually volunteer.
(reminds me of the 2004 olypics in Greece where a communist organizer wanted to unionize the volunteers for “work protection” only to be shocked to discover that volunteers are NOT paid!)
If I recall, the DNC wanted Wisconsin RATS and the labor Unions to stop these efforts. The losses in the Supreme Court and Senate recalls were embarrassing and the DNC wants labor resources ($$) to support other efforts. The DNC is also worried that as the real story come out, (Unions were protecting Union interest and not members) that the continual attention would hurt Obama’s chances in November.
They are already starting to form the narrative for why they will lose. Another myth in the making.
Expanding on your point (which I completely concur with):
- Local radio guy here in Milwaukee with good connections on both sides saying if election was tomorrow Walker would win by more than in 2010 per internal polls
- Barrett campaign in “flopsweat” mode already. Flailing for any topic to get to stick to Walker. Seems the focus is now on the defense fund Walker set up to deal with John Doe. Completely have ditched running on anything real.
- Embarrassing for Barrett - 1. City Hall facade cracking again...this problem has been around for most of Barrett’s reign as Mayor in Milwaukee at significant cost 2. Just reported today that his own wife was campaigning for him for Gov. and against ACT 10 on her Milw Public School account...this is one of the same reasons for the BS John Doe investigation against Walker right now.
- Local black personality on the Sykes weekend show again stating that blacks won’t rush out to vote for Barrett in any recall election.
- Finally dawned on college students that they neededed to fill out absentee ballots for the recall election since they will be home already...expecting student vote participation to be down.
- Walker victory centers now up and running and you’re seeing signage all over now.
- Will be a new job reports number for WI coming out very soon per Walker...its going to look real good for him.
Been saying for a few weeks. I think Walker wins by close to double digits.
Because of Hollywood movies, Europeans have long held the idea that Americans are either “cowboys” or “gangsters”, and while their ignorance is amusing, there is a grain of truth behind it.
Because of our Republican dominated foreign policy, Europeans have taken to calling us, as a nation, “cowboys”. And while on the surface this sounds like an insult, the truth is more complex. Cowboys are not disreputable people. They are strong and brave, generally moral and honorable.
But what about the flip side of the coin? That is, while Europeans rarely if ever call Democrat presidents “gangsters”, they often as not might be thinking it.
Obama is from the Chicago mob. Clinton was from the last of the state mobs, the Arkansas mob. The Kennedys from the Boston mob. Carter stands out as just being an unconnected dunce.
But mobs have a different way of functioning. Which brings us up to this story. Everything that mobs and Mafias do is for “the big boss”. All income goes to the big boss, then he trickles down some of it to his lieutenants and their flunkies to buy their loyalty.
Which leads to the great axiom of the mob: that the very purpose of ‘the organization’, be it a mob, or the government, is to “reward your friends and punish your enemies”. That is truly how they see power.
This means charity to none, unless there is something in it for the mob. Everyone is divided into friends and enemies, there are no neutrals. And those who are successful furthering ‘the agenda’ are rewarded. Those who are not are on their own.
Judging from the public polls, Walker is up by 5 points over his opponent. This means that the mobsters are losing. And the “big boss” does not subsidize losers.
Hmm...the RNC dropped $30 million on a gubernatorial recall? I have no knowledge either way but this one I’d like to see fact-checked. I did read the unions dropped $12 million of their people’s dues so far. Sure be nice to have that in a pension fund...
"Yippee Ki Yay........"
“Sure be nice to have that in a pension fund...”
Why bother to put it in a pension fund when the unions know the taxpayers will pay for their criminal behavior and bail the funds out?
All for me and none for thee!!! Yours untruly, Obama.
