A bill designed to prevent Kansas courts or government agencies from making decisions based on Islamic or other foreign legal codes has cleared the state Legislature after a contentious debate about whether the measure upholds American values or appeals to prejudice against Muslims.
The Senate approved the bill Friday on a 33-3 vote. The House had approved it, 120-0, earlier in the week. The measure goes next to Republican Gov. Sam Brownback, who hasn't said whether he'll sign or veto the measure.
The measure doesn't specifically mention Shariah law, which broadly refers to codes within the Islamic legal system. Instead, it says that courts, administrative agencies or state tribunals can't base rulings on any foreign law or legal system that would not grant the parties the same rights guaranteed by state and U.S. constitutions.

Which is why ISLAM does not fit into our nation at all!
They come here and claim to be citizens - but under Sharia and their basic culture/religious beliefs - they can’t be citizens of a nation other than the Ummah.
They cannot be loyal to the US - where it is clearly defined in their holy books and instructed by their clerics - that the only loyalty they can have is to the Ummah.
They say one things - but their publications, speeches, and tenets of culture and religion say another.
I think the majority of the people in the US know this - it’s the over reaching and very loud minority aided by the US media that makes it seem that to go up against Islam makes a person racists, bigot, ignorant, and a host of other negative terms - but in reality it shows that people can and will continue to educate themselves and not rely on the US media machine to piece meal information and news...
Bye bye Katie Couric and the rest of you slobs!
Freedom House’s Muslim volunteers went to 15 prominent mosques from New York to San Diego and collected more than 200 books and other publications disseminated by Saudi Arabia (some 90% in Arabic) in mosque libraries, publication racks, and bookstores.
What they found can only be described as horrifying. These writings - each and every one of them sponsored by the kingdom - espouse an anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, misogynist, jihadist, and supremacist outlook. For example, they:
Reject Christianity as a valid faith: Any Muslim who believes “that churches are houses of God and that God is worshiped therein is an infidel.”
Insist that Islamic law be applied: On a range of issues, from women (who must be veiled) to apostates from Islam (”should be killed”), the Saudi publications insist on full enforcement of Shariah in America.
See non-Muslims as the enemy: “Be dissociated from the infidels, hate them for their religion, leave them, never rely on them for support, do not admire them, and always oppose them in every way according to Islamic law.”
See America as hostile territory: “It is forbidden for a Muslim to become a citizen of a country governed by infidels because this is a means of acquiescing to their infidelity and accepting all their erroneous ways.”
Prepare for war against America: “To be true Muslims, we must prepare and be ready for jihad in Allah’s way. It is the duty of the citizen and the government.”
Wow! Did we get one right?
What a shame something like this is even required to protect America from the Muslim hoard.
Kansas, I salute you! Now onto the next one............. More to come.
I don’t know who I hate more...The primitive, barbaric mussies or the leftest anti-american progressive homosexuals running Hollywood. I gotta tell you, folks, that if they wanted to impose Sharia Law on Hollywood for a little while I don’t know if I would object !!
They are just one of the western worlds enemies and our oil dollars are their weapon. Middle-eastern countries are terrified of our oil dollars drying up, if and when their wells run out of oil. And the western doomsayers have been beating the drums of dried out oil reserves for the past thirty-five+ years. The wells are suppose to be empty right now not pumping out more oil. (?) Empty oil wells in the middle-east is just one of the fears that has been an igniting, as well as uniting, force behind militant islam and why the sword of islam is being brandish against western civilization. They want CONTROL, so their elite can continue living in luxury. And the real tenant behind islam is “submission to that which holds the dominate position.” The western world Should NEVER cede the dominate position to those who hold as morally righteous and just that which the western world holds as immoral, wrong and unjust. How there is so much ignorance in the west, I can’t comprehend, especially among those who are supposedly superiorly educated.(?) I often wonder if our leaders are receiving kick backs from those oil gazillions that western consumers have paid for middle-east oil. Also, there is so much oil money, that it could be used to make threats against any of our leaders who don’t submit and espouse and promote islam as harmless and beneficial to the west.
Pipes has great stuff - I get daily e-mails from him - or at least every other day...Great guy.
The Saudi Royals were stood up from camel thieves by the British to the prominence they now hold - but the real power rests in the Wahhabis...and they push this agenda with revenues from export oil...(http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/saudi/analyses/wahhabism.html)
- not that I like pbs...but they started to look at the real problem...and it’s more so than a problem - but a direct threat to US sovereignty.
Thanks for your input
Hope the gov signs it. I’m not familiar with him, is he likely to sign it or veto it?
I would like to see about 15 ‘fly over’ states break apart from the USA. They can form the ‘Western States of America’:
I had been pondering the appropriate location for the “Capitol of operations. Seems like Kansas has solved my pondering. Maybe Dodge City??? Shades of Marshal Dillon!!!
