"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

Willard Etch-a-Sketch Milt, the magic, ineligible, backstabbing RINO:
"I bet you $10,000 that whatever my position
on immigration will be, whichever day it is, as it mutates,
it will ALWAYS be reported on FOX-Bain "News"
by either of my anchor-wives-in-training as both severely conservative
and exponentially clear."
He doesn’t sound too enthusiastic about it...
The answer, I think, is that if/when Romney loses the GOPe can't point the finger at (in this case) Santorum and say “See, if you endorsed Romney your supporters would have voted for him and he would have won!”
Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, and the others are just chomping at the bit waiting to blame conservatives for a Romney loss, should it occur. Never mind that the GOPe gave us, once again, an unwinnable candidate.
I wish some good things could happen for our side.
Sigh.
swish - The sound of my respect for the man out the window.
He sounds less enthusiastic than Newt did.
Don’t like it but have to. No choice.
When this was announced by way of FOX AM (radio)the reading by the newscaster went like this :
“It the middle of the night Santorum announced his tepid endorsement”
And right away I felt much better about something we all knew was comming.
