I read Rick Santorum’s email late last night when it arrived in my in-box, focused on Santorum’s statement about a future major announcement (which he's said several times recently) and missed a key word in a key sentence near the end of the email. What I thought he said was Santorum would support Romney **IF** he is the nominee, not that Romney “will be that nominee.”
That is a major screwup on my end. The readers of this thread deserve my apology.
I think I need to go get some coffee. I've been up way too long, but that's no excuse when I make a mistake this serious.
Over and out. I have a date with Maxwell House.

Please. Don't even feel the need to apologize. There was a reason he dropped it in the last few paragraphs and sent it out at 11 p.m. I am not criticizing Rick - Newt hasn't exactly been a pillar of stated principle lately, either.
Maybe - at a minimum - it would be nice to able to believe 50% of the words that come out of our candidate's mouths...
Onward and upward. Stay strong for America.
Thanks but no apology necessary. We all misread or decipher info differently thus our varying opinions of that info.
