His campaign sent me a request for a donation. It went straight to the garbage.

I see that over the weekend Ron Paul secured the delegates from 2 more states. It’s getting closer and closer to forcing a brokered conventions.
I really don’t want to vote for Romney.

Weak passion seen for candidate

Ya think!?! But to win and rouse any enthusiasm, he needs to make clear that this Country cannot survive another four years of the kenyan commie usurper!

He will have to gain more passionate support or more committed support as opposed to respect

lol

No one respects Romney, they only fear an Obama 2nd term and fell once again for the media driven lie that only a moderate can win.

“Weak passion seen for candidate”

Understatement.

I’ll vote for him, and even take some time to debate with those who aren’t so inclined. But I won’t be giving his campaign one red cent. He had all the money he needed to buy the nomination and he can afford to spend his way to the WH too.

"But if he hopes to go toe-to-toe this fall with President Obama, the former Massachusetts governor needs to show he can fish for small-dollar donors, too."

Ain't going to happen. Obomba has every taxpayer's support and has since he pilfered trillions of dollars from us (taxpayers) for his re-election slush funds. Romney, a man of no character or spine, nor his mormon cult can muster enough money to compete with the 100's of millions of American tax payers and the billions of dollars of support from his friends in the muslim brotherhood. Only a true Conservative could've garnered enough of the conservative demoncraps needed to beat obomba. Romney's no conservative and there aren't enough 'independents' to give romney a victory in November nor to justify giving him the Republican nomination but... because Americans are for the most part, ignorant, self-centered, non-repentant moderate/leftist narcissists hell bent on only voting for what's "in it for" them individually we are all screwed.

Four more years of obomba. Count on it.

JMHO

I have to hold my nose to vote for him. Some choice a Socialist vs a Marxist, a dime’s difference in the 2.

Not going to happen. His big money backers want him to represent them, fine, then they can pay for him.

This sounds like the Republican version of the Warren Buffett tax. A billionaire who demands that billionaires pay more in taxes, while evading the taxes he already owes.

In this case, the onerous Romney’s only pitch to conservatives is that they have no choice but to vote for him, even though he utterly disdains both their beliefs and them personally.

It is an excellent political rule of thumb that voters will vote against somebody they intensely dislike, like Obama, but they will not *pay* to support someone they still intensely dislike, just *less*, like the onerous Romney.

Right now, the only way that the onerous Romney will win is if he shuts his mouth. If he offends conservatives any more than he has already done, it will not earn him any money, but they may decide to not vote for any presidential candidate at all, just for conservatives in the House and Senate, hoping that they will at least neuter whoever is elected.

This does raise the issue that the office of the presidency is too powerful, right now, and needs to be taken down a bunch of pegs, that it once again become “co-equal” with the congress and the Supreme Court.

Why would there be any passion for a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal who spent millions lying about his opponents in the primaries?

All he did was depress turn-out for himself in the general election with those types of treacherous tactics.

Weak passion seen for candidate

No kidding? I can't imagine why.

/sarc

Let's face it - given the almost complete overlap between the two candidates, Romney's natural base is already taken by Obama. All Romney has left is to try to desperately try to convince a bunch of people who don't really like or agree with him that the tiny, tiny little minutiae of differences between him and Obama are really some huge, vast gulf. The going will be rough and uphill for him on that score.

Me, I don’t want him. Viscerally.
