I proposed a truce among the conservative posters on FR. There is nothing to be gained by our grassroots coalition ripping itself apart. We’re going to need each other more than ever after the election regardless of which liberal progressive is elected. I made no instructions to the moderators. We are all pro-Life, pro-Liberty pro-small government, self-governing, responsible adult conservatives here. We shouldn’t need nannies to force us to behave ourselves.
Fair enough. I've never expected the Mods to be nannies. Their job is hard enough.
I guess it's just that when pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-small government, self-governing, responsible adult conservatives get called "evil" or even supporters of evil repeatedly, it makes us wonder what's going on.
Incidentally, I've been privately thanked for voicing publicly what many others have been thinking. I'm not alone in wanting the madness to end. I love verbal fisticuffs and defending my very conservative views, but I'm not too fond of being called evil (on a conservative forum) because I hate Marxism.
