Excellent point.There is no down side for our side to cry about not securing the border.

Only a few employers hell bent on cheap labor at any cost would give our side a hard time other than a few rinos still worried about losing the Hispanic vote. The BS about losing the Hispanic vote over a secure border is just that.

Many Hispanics are disgusted that we don't have a more secure border.They don't want terrorists coming across any more than we do.

The US Chamber of Commerce is our archenemy in this regard. They have been funding court challenges against states like AZ and AL who have implemented tough E-verify laws that were upheld by SCOTUS last year. They want to keep the flow of cheap labor coming. And they have supported amnesty for those already here.

The power and influence of the Chamber cannot be underestimated when it comes to the Rep Establishment and the politicians who depend on their campaign contributions.
