While I sympathize with those who need cheap labor to do this or that menial job with the huge threat of terrorism looming at the border you have to weigh the two and terrorism outweighs any other need.

Historically, immigration was designed to bring in either the politically oppressed,just a few individuals here,(the blind chinese due for example) or others who can actually fulfill a need the country has.

Mexicon welfare people and pregnant women desiring anchor babies do no fall into that category.

Agreed. Immigration to America is a privilege, not a right. And we must have an immigration policy that serves the interests of this country. We will never be able to absorb the billions of people who want to come here. We have to set limits and bring in those people who can best make this nation competitive in the global economy. We don’t need to import poverty and high school dropouts. We have plenty of both at home.
