The only thing about Obama’s race that bothers me is his racist views. From his comment about a typical white grandmother to his self identifying as black, not mixed race.
You had "Black" Or "Negro" OR "colored" OR "White" OR "Other"
People simply went along with the system.
Remember that "CAUC" for Caucasion choice you used to have? It's gone ~ maybe still used in some places but in most of the country it simply disappeared. You had too many people interpeting that as "Colored" ~ and too many others imagining it meant something racial.
The doggone thing is an ethno-linguistic appellation which can refer to people of any color or race who speak an Indo-European language ~ e.g. Hindi, English, Pashtun, Iranian, Russian, French, etc.
Currently "Mixed Race" is acceptable in polite company, but most analysts view it as meaning "black/white' and not some other mix such as Cambodian/Thai.
There's a long way to go and the fact Obama is not currently meeting your expectations in that regard should be no surprise to his critics or his supporters ~ they aren't meeting the expectations of those affected by such descriptors.
No surprise here, Maher is wrong about everything else,so why would he be right about this...
Way down there on the list is “that black guy.”
This is because he is not BLACK. he is bi-racial, in other words HALF WHITE. He hates his WHITE side. In his mind he is BLACK, because it is politically expedient to be BLACK, better to position himself to expound his Marxist, Socialist, views under the veil of being a member of a “persecuted” race with all the “victimhood” associated with it.
In truth, he has never been a “victim” nor “persecuted” as he was brought up by a wealth grandmother and in a white upper middle class household for most of his priviledged childhood.
He is a sociopath, a lier, and a narcissitic POS, caught up in a fantasy world of a life of lies and flasehoods, and so deep in it he can no longer distinguish what was true from what is false.
The sooner we drain this pus from the wound, the better.
The sooner he's ignored the sooner he's gone and the Left will have to find another whose only chance in "show biz" is to do the dumb things Maher does.
The only thing I have against his skin is that it is to thin.
Bill Maher, the mad cap HBO host,
Actually this should read: Bill Maher, the mad crap HBO host.
The guy is a total loser.
Maher launched “Politically Incorrect” back in the late 1980s IIRC. That was his job then too. He was always a tool of the hard Left, spreading its lies like a ventriloquist’s dummy (which he resembles.) The gig has lasted around 30 years and has made him a multimillionaire. Anyone who subscribes to Showtime is making a direct contribution to Obama’s re-election campaign.
Correction: HBO, not Showtime. But the difference is academic really.
Who???
FUBM!
LOL! I'm a white gal from Mississippi, but I think I know more about the American 'black experience' than Barack Obama, because I grew up around more black Americans than he did!
I don't oppose Obama because he's black, I oppose him because he's a statist-elitist who is doing his level best to ruin the country.
The one on the Paul Winchell's left is Bill Maher went he was a child.. I think.
Had to indicate race on a testing form for my son and it was ridiculous that my only option was “white”.
I wanted to scratch it out and write in “American”.
(I KNOW, “American” is not a race)
Yup, it's a thought alright. One that scares the Liberals worse than anything else they can think of.
In the mind of the left, opposing socialism/statism/elitism is “racist”. Of course, they also think believing marriage consists of a man and a woman and having skepticism about global warming are “racist” views as well.
I personally have never thought of Obama as a black guy. There is nothing blackabout him except his skin tones and the shape of his head. Hes a white guy who has learned over the years to mimic blacks—imperfectly.
Yeah, well, color me racist.;o)
Bill Maher is the reason I cancelled HBO and I made sure they knew it when I left.
