“According to the Bureau of labor statistics, unemployment is at 14.5%.”

This is not the accepted Media Current Truth. You must be a RASSISS!

So, 360,000 people applied for unemployment, we gained 115,000 jobs and 520,000 left the job market. Because the job pool shrank by 520,000 (the denominator) the unemployment percentage decreased from 8.2% to 8.1%.

The above numbers come from different surveys. What you have to be aware of is the total job market is decreasing and this is VERY BAD.

This tells us that the job market is getting smaller and smaller. This is lucky for Obama because he can fool MSM and Dummycrats. Obama is saying that unemployment is going in the right direction when in reality there is NO JOB MARKET for people looking for jobs. Only 63.6% of Americans are in the labor force. It is disappearing. 88 Million Americans are not in the job force who should be in the job market. Unfreakinbelievable.

VERY BAD!

The best way to appear thinner? Hang around really fat people.

The best way to make the unemployment numbers look good? Have more and more people lose hope of finding employment and just give up.

Voodoo math. The only reason the unemployment rate continues to drop is because millions who want to work have stopped looking and are no longer counted as unemployed. Failure = success (at least in the eyes of the MSM).

I wonder how many of the soon to be and recent College grads will be smart enough to realize that, very likely, because if the way they voted they have very little hope of finding work.

Go to any chain store or other traditional high school/college job location. More and more older people are working PT because they got laid off or need to make ends meet and many of the “temporary” high school/college summer workforce has stayed.

Here is a link:

Data Retrieval: Employment, Hours, and Earnings (CES)

Just check the Total nonfarm Seasonally Adjusted box in Table B-1 down the page and it is easy to see. That is a good link to bookmark.

In certain states I believe that dropping below 8.2 triggers that extended benefits no longer apply for unemployment.

It’s a game an we are the pawns.

Has this administration every done better than the analysts predict? And they revised every number downward a few weeks later.

500k jobs lost in April alone. This is astounding. Even for a liberal.

Obama must go. We can’t survive 4 more years.

And if the Republicans DO throw the communist out of the office, watch the economy take off like a bat out of hell the very day after the election and listen to the screeching and puling about the racism.

I read the release from the feds and all in the same sentence, they meekly praised a drop in the unemployment figure from 8.2% to 8.1% then acknowledged it was due to folks giving up looking for employment.

Proof positive Uncle Sugar is sugar coating.

What I'd really like to see is a comparison chart of people who are deriving the majority of their income from employment vs. those deriving their income from government benefits

I agree.

Do conservatives have a culprit that they can demonstrate to people is causing the economy to stagnate like this ? How can they convince ordinary Americans that the economy is not improving like they might think it is and how can they prove that it actually isnt Wall Street and the CEOs and Conservative corporations not paying enough taxes that is causing this, but rather too much govt interference and Americans having to pull the weight of unproductive people in our society ? Remember, they need to be able to be convincing enough to counter Obama, that means conservatives need undeniable, unrefutable proof here; they are going up against a leader who can make them believe he can singlehandedly cure all of their cancers and bring the dead to life.
