David Cameron has come under fire for taking sides in the US Presidential election. Aides to Republican candidate Mitt Romney have accused the Prime Minister of staging a love in with Barack Obama during his recent trip to Washington which will help the president get re-elected. In a highly unusual attack on Mr Cameron, the Romney camp yesterday accused the Prime Minister of showing a lack of experience and being not very skilful when he gave a toast in Mr Obamas honour during a White House banquet.

Agree. Attack Zero and Hillary over Chen. Now is the time.
Another one who lacks the skills of foreign diplomacy..
why are we stuck with these Bozos...
Sadly, all the better canidiates either were driven out, ran out of money, or could not get traction. We are stuck with Romney.
Nowhere in the article does it say Romney attacked Cameron.
The article says three times it was “aides to Romney”. Anyway, they/he are absolutely correct in their “attack”. Even Obama declaring neutrality in the Faukland dispute isn’t enough to deter Cameron’s man-love for “The One”.
If Cameron prefers Obama to Romney, he deserves what he gets. An America in sustained depression is going to drag down Europe and Great Britain into further economic disaster. Only a vibrant US economy is going to help save Europe, and it will take a decade or more if Obama gets a second term.
There was no “attack.” Stop letting the media determine how to characterize things. Would you feel the same ifv the media said Gingrich or Santorum made the “attack?”
“why are we stuck with these Bozos...”
Because most of us are party chattel, incapable of an independent thought much less an independent action.
What is he talking about? It's ridiculous to charge a British PM of being partisan. No UK prime minister could possibly afford to do that, and certainly not in the run up to an election. Besides, it's a bit of a stretch to say that something like that done now is going to influence an election that's not going to be held until November. A week is a long time in politics. Six months is forever. In the meantime business has to go on, including the courtesies. How could David Cameron NOT give a toast in Mr Obamas honour during a White House banquet? And finally, since when does the good offices of a foreign premier influence a US presidential election? Elections in Western nations, particularly the US, are almost totally dominated by domestic issues, unless something really big like a war is on.
Honestly, is this man really the best the GOP can offer up?
Then Romney needs to talk to his “aides”. Their judgement sucks - unless they are deliberately stirring up anglophobia as a means to unite their own party, in which case they are out of their minds. This assertion is completely ridiculous.
Cameron is a complete Tory drip. But so is Romney. If Romney were still “Republican” governor of Mass., he’d be giving toasts to Obama.
I can’t find any Romney quotes. Couldn’t be the Daily Mail is misrepresenting the truth!
Headline is misleading.
