That incident was during May or June. they didn’t know whether Sarah was entering the race or not so attacking Sarah could have been a preemptive strike and raised a lot of questions about Bachmanns true motives

So you are arguing that an attack from a political hack like Rollins, working for a last tier candidate, kept Palin from running? That’s absurd. That incident had little or no effect on the Primary race and it certainly doesn’t discredit a solid Tea Party Conservative. One of the few fighting for us on Capitol Hill.

I will hand you that. Bachmann was on the field with the Tea Party. I am dejected that Bachmann stayed silent after she got out, even after Santorum got out. Then Santorum joined Bachman in leaving Newt twisting.
That silence along with many others of course, was just the heavy lifting Romney needed, after already slaying Newt in Florida. They stayed silent even then on his tactics in Florida.
