We as a Christian nation and society must not accept the practice of couples living together (shacking-up) before marriage.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. This practice has had a huge detrimental impact on our society, and is sin. That being said, I was living with a woman in 1986 during one of the most trying times of my life. During that time, she recommitted to the Lord, and I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. We repented and remained celibate until we married in September of 1987.We have been very happily married and faithful to each other and to God since then. As believers, we must never tolerate sin, but we must always speak in love. Condemnation without love only turns people away from Christ. We can voice our disapproval, but show them the better way, as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13. Unbelievers need to understand that they are sinners, that God hates sin, but that Jesus was nailed to the Cross in our place, so that we can experience forgiveness and newness of life!

Also, Christians can never expect unbelievers to live holy lives, because they are in spiritual darkness. Our job is to bring them into the Light of Christ! But I appreciate your zeal, Uncle Slayton!
