The lefts thinking is they will be able to control the blacks/muslims that survive the war, once they get power.

Assuming that the Left would survive the war. If they do, then many, many future American slaves didn't do their job by choosing the very temporary safety over the honorable fight to save the Republic. Slavery must be the only result to inaction.
