No but we should take the power away from the hyperventilating marxist rapers of the Constitution FIRST, shouldn't we? Will our cause have more impact and leverage w/ the moderate Republican Romney as president or the 2nd term transformational community agitator with scores to keep and enemies list to settle??
Given how a RINO Romney administration can simply rely on a coalition of Dems and RINOs in Congress, the notion that conservatives will have any leverage on Romney is uextremely unlikely.
Besides, he knows that conservatives are going along with installing him as the nominee since he’s “inevitable,” so he knows that “conservatives” will just go along with anything he does as President, too.
Frankly, a Romney administration might end up being WORSE than a 2nd Obama term - at least the GOP in Congress and the Senate will make something of a pretense of fighting Obama. They won’t if it’s THEIR guy proposing the spending and the regulation.
Well, if this early incident is any indication, no. It looks like Romney would be inclined to form a coalition of RINOs and Democrats that would isolate conservatives and allow Romney to revert to his liberal/socialist tendencies and also would allow the GOP-E off the leash of fiscal conservatism that the Tea Party represents.
