No, Obama is using ridicule to demonize and marginalize anyone who questions his legitimacy. That is the reason the term "birther" was coined, i.e., anyone who questions the authenticity of his birth certificate or Constitutionality to hold the office is a tin foil hat wearer who must be laughed at as some sort of lunatic.

Obama is defending himself by these comments, not doubling down. It is interesting to note that Obama had to produce the long form of birth certificate (which the press said didn't exist) after Trump pressured him. Albeit, the long form is just as much a forgery as the short form, but he did produce another document.

The fact that Obama has now produced a clearly forged Long Form B.C. and a clearly forged Short Form B.C., indicates that he has neither on file in the Hawaii Health Unit. If he had a Long Form on file in Hawaii which enclosed some damaging birth information that forfeit his right to the Presidency, that form would have been modified and corrected with minimal evidence of tampering. The forms he produced had so much evidence of heavy tampering,correction and overlays that it leads one to realize that the birth certificates used belong to someone else and not President Obama. If someone can come up with a scenario that indicates that Obama has a Long Form Birth Certificate on record in Hawaii and that there is a reason that his forger's chose not to use it with it's many necessary corrections and present it as evidence of his Long Form B.C., I would like to read it and try and make sense of that scenario.
