WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Labor today issued the following statement regarding the withdrawal of a proposed rule dealing with children who work in agricultural vocations:
"The Obama administration is firmly committed to promoting family farmers and respecting the rural way of life, especially the role that parents and other family members play in passing those traditions down through the generations. The Obama administration is also deeply committed to listening and responding to what Americans across the country have to say about proposed rules and regulations.
"As a result, the Department of Labor is announcing today the withdrawal of the proposed rule dealing with children under the age of 16 who work in agricultural vocations.
"The decision to withdraw this rule including provisions to define the 'parental exemption' was made in response to thousands of comments expressing concerns about the effect of the proposed rules on small family-owned farms. To be clear, this regulation will not be pursued for the duration of the Obama administration.
"Instead, the Departments of Labor and Agriculture will work with rural stakeholders such as the American Farm Bureau Federation, the National Farmers Union, the Future Farmers of America, and 4-H to develop an educational program to reduce accidents to young workers and promote safer agricultural working practices."
Government is too big to do anything but make jobs and LOSE MONEY
IOW, "We're going to craft yet some other intrusive 'solution' in search of a problem."
There...fixed it.
O's campaign of distractions continues.
Bingo.
This is exactly what I posted about the real intent of the "rule." They are trying to access the rural kids under the guise of a "safety training program" for distribution of indoctrination propaganda.

My previous post...

The new regulations, first proposed August 31 by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, would also revoke the governments approval of safety training and certification taught by independent groups like 4-H and FFA, replacing them instead with a 90-hour federal government training course.
...90-hour federal government training course....
Anyone care to guess what the 90 hours of federal government training will contain?
Perhaps something along the lines of what is in this?
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
In the >>> EXACT <<< same PUBLIC statement he said he would make federal assistance conditional on school districts establishing service programs and set the goal of 50 hours of mandatory service a year for middle school and high school students.
...50 hours of mandatory service a year for middle school and high school students...
Just as he was three years ago, he is attempting mandatory control of the kids. Only now the monster is going after the rural and farm kids he can not reach any other way.
With the power grab at family farms, he wanted to make himself the all powerful, all knowing fed-gov the ultimate authority, placing himself above the parents.
.
Farm accidents for those under 20 have gone WAY down in recent years. They can’t fool me.
This was about destroying strong nuclear families that have good work ethics and an independent mindset.
Then they figured out “we’re screwing with the wrong folks too soon”.
I wish.
See post #5.
Excellent. Thanks.
I think many more kids get killed by urban violence.
Must have read the polls and saw Bozo tanking with the farmers. Notice it says they won’t implement this rule for the duration the current administration. That means if he wins in November he will immediately put it into place, not having to worry about re-election.
