This should pull Kalifornia back from the edge of the economic meltdown abyss...

I don’t think it is correct to call the implementation of an enthusiastic positive determination to do something a “cave.”

Cali is not unlike a drug addict who cannot stop increasing the potency of the drug ingested, even though they're close to totally destroying themself.

I guess they don’t have to worry about what to do with that budget surplus now. < /sarc >

Close? Seriously?
Did you ever think you would live to see the day when non-Americans have more rights than Americans - in America?

If they don’t have to e-verify, isn’t that opening up local companies to use non-union labor? Why aren’t unions blocking this?

Congratulations to California for becoming the 32 state of Mexico joining to their south, Baja Calfornia and Baja California Sur. I guess the new name will be Baja Califonia Norte.

This is just another reason to leave California. Moonbeam can figure out whose taxes he will raise and how high he will raise taxes, cave to unions, build his overpriced, unaffordable high speed train to nowhere and the list just goes on and on and on and on. In the end, you’ll have a bunch of very wealthy Hollywood types and another bunch, the illegals who will serve them food and landscape their yards. Implosion is on the horizon. Goodbye California, hello Nevada!

I'm sorry, but WHAT did you say?
And is it possible that you went to school with the guy who came up with this quote:
The LAPD spokesman explained that undocumented individuals are driving anyway, so this would make them safer drivers, since "these unlicensed drivers most probably never took a vision test, have not proved they know the road rules/signs or how to operate a vehicle, and have never taken a driver's test. Think about it. This conditional permit will have a picture and a finger print on it so it might be easier to find them and deter them from running from a hit-and-run."
PS: Not mentioned in the article is the fact that the major effect of impounding for 30 days is to get what is likely to be a clunker permanently off the road. Damn few illegals will pony up the $1200 or so required after 30 days "storage" when they can buy another one for a couple of hundred as soon as the cops let them go.

Are insurance companies selling to ‘undocumented immigrants’?
How would they know the identification of the person?
On the bright side, maybe Calif. will vacuum up some of the illegals in other States.

In California it is not a CAVE. It is CALIFORNIA. That is what they desire and what they do. I think much of the state looks forward to one day soon becoming Upper Mexico. The politicians probably think they will be able to get control of all of Mexico once when they can include California and thus themselves therein.
