Lawmaker Replaces Pledge with Poem

A Massachusetts lawmaker is under fire in Falmouth after she opened a town meeting with a poem instead of the traditional recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Melissa Freitag, the vice chair for the Falmouth Board of Selectmen, refused to say why she would not allow her fellow lawmakers or residents to recite the pledge.
“I would rather not tonight,” she replied when Selectman Kevin Murphy questioned her about the omission.

Falmouth resident Brenda Scannell told the newspaper that Freitag’s decision was baffling.
“I just don’t get that at all,” she said. “I know we certainly have our challenges (in this country), but this seems like a step backward.”

If I wanted to make America fail, I would kill God, the family, and allow “Sunshine Americans” to opt out of pledging allegiance to the nation they reside in.

Not one of them had the courage to stand up and start reciting the Pledge out loud. That’s all it would have taken to stop this crapp. Instead, the sheep sat there and took it.

I thought that in the election of selectmen, you chose "no more than" N. The top M vote getters become selectmen. She's more of less guaranteed the votes of every trustifarian moonbat living off their great-grandfather's fortune on the Upper Cape.

I pointed this out to my wife a few years ago about how easily you can tell if someone is liberal and the #1 way is by their glasses. The # 2 way is by the way they take care of their hair. Most liberals do not have well groomed hair...
