I had just been through surgery and two hours before my pre-employment drug screen had received two shots containing lidocaine. The drug screen came back negative. I told my employer, to whom I had provided medical records, “You are wasting your money.”

Expect in the future to see drug screening by employers banned as well, as being “discriminatory” and having a “disparate impact” on certain ethnic groups.
