I'd take Newt's “lapsed Conservatism” over Romney's “promises to be conservative “ any day.

At least Newt helped win real battles for Conservatives.

Amen! and Newt stated very clearly from the very beginning of this campaign that ANY candidate running on the gop ticket would be better than Obama. He is NO hypocrite..he said it more than once at the earlier debates.
Newt fought hard and I admire him. He had more enemies than any other candidate from not only the gopE, Fox but from the left because they feared him.
I would also like to add that Gov Perry ran a dignified campaign. I can't say that for Romney.
Can ONLY mega millionaires become president in America anymore?
