I agree. I'd like to see Newt put his efforts behind conservative House and Senate candidates, particularly in the South.
Right! Campaign for the U.S. House and Senate races.
It struck me last night, with Governor Perry's endorsement, that Romney desperately needs help in South. He came in third in my state (Mississippi) and also in Alabama.
I wouldn't be AT ALL surprised if he asks Governor Perry to run with him as his VP.
He needs a very popular, very attractive, experienced, Southern Christian running mate, and Governor Perry is also a military veteran.

You make very good points for Romney possibly choosing Gov. Perry as his running mate, he would be helpful to him in many ways.

I really don't think Perry cares much for Romney, and I can't see Rick playing second fiddle to anyone other than Sarah Palin. He'd do it for her in a heartbeat.
Those two were my original Dream Ticket! :)

Oh,Lord, Onyx....if Perry becomes Willard’s VP, just come visit me in the psych ward, LOL.
Personally, I think his dislike of Romney is too strong. It dates back to Romney supporting homosexuals in the Boy Scouts (Perry was an Eagle Scout.
We shall see, though.

I like your idea of governor Perry as running mate.
