To: true believer forever

So here’s the big question: Now that Newt’s out, and therefore won’t be going to the convention, what happens to the “Anyone-but-Romney” crowd? The leader of this board has emphatically stated that he will under no circumstances support Romney, and many here agree with him. Now that Romney is all that’s left between the country and another four (or more) years of The Won, does that now mean Free Republic will be supporting Obama (as the only one left other than Romney)?

More seriously, do we just look to the down-ballot nominees and hope for the best? Do we stay home? Hold our noses and vote Romney anyway? Write in Sarah Palin (knowing no one in the “establishment” will care)? Vote Ron Paul?

I’ve even heard/read that some here will actually vote for Obama on the premise that the disaster he will wreak will create fertile ground for a truly conservative candidate in 2016, or that America needs to finally learn the lesson that the current breed of Democrats are not fit to lead the country.

I’m not trying to be flippant. I seriously want to know what will happen, now that the race is down to the disastrous incumbent and the candidate this site has sworn never to vote for.

We stay home. Or vote down-ticket only. I surely do not see any difference between the two major party candidates in this cycle.
