I got a little bit of reaction on the original Gabby Giffords ship thread when I said this:
“When this current bunch of lunatics is thrown out of office, I propose we name a ship the USS Mary Jo Kopechne.”
Speaking as a former sailor (76-88), I’d love to see the name nominated. It would be a perfect finger in the eyes of politicians in general and Liberals in particular over the multiple disrespects they have inflicted on the military in general over the years. Just for the fight over it.
