California and texas have been effectively disenfranchised....another choice has been removed from them.

Thiss is the what happened to me in 2008. Thompson dropped out before i could vote for him. All that were left were RINO.

We need a National Primary Day. The primary season is way too long, and relative few voters in small states decide whom the nominee will be before the bigger states even get a chance to have their say.

Huh? If Newt made the ballot you will still be able to vote for him in California or Texas. Santorum's campaign has been suspended for awhile now and he still beat Newt in Pennsylvania last night.

Once candidates realize they have no chance to win they drop out. That is how it works. Why would Newt continue a campaign that he can't win? It takes money? Is he supposed to lie to donors and tell them there is a real chance? Most people will see through that and not give anymore anyway. So without money how is Newt supposed to campaign? No one was disenfranchised. If you live in California or Texas, and Newt made the ballot, you can still vote for him.

I totally understand. I am from Texas too, and I have never been able to vote for my choice either. All the candidates have always been culled out before it comes our turn to vote and Tx just has to suck it up and take whats left. I cant for the life of me understand why it is this way. Its so unfair to give the northern liberal states the privilege of voting first!! Why cant the whole United States vote the same day???

I would imagine that Fred Thompson would feel slighted by your not putting him on the RINO honor roll.

Yep, same here (Missouri). I still don’t know why he bothered running. Hopes were so high for him, but it didn’t seem like he even tried.

Thompson campaigned in 2008? I don’t think he ever left his hammock. He wasn’t a real candidate, but a place holder. I suspect the same thing of Newt. Why did he wait until Santorum dropped out? Once it was obvious his campaign was going nowhere he simply helped Romney.
