I was having a conversation with my wife about Romney. I mentioned the cartoon where he has many mouths and says, “Just stop me when you hear something you like.”
I told her that with mr Etch a sketch you can not listen to what he says. You have to see what he does. She then said that he concerns her too but yesterday he said that...And I said, No. Do not listen to what he says.
She rightly rebuked me for insulting her, though I was really only trying to make a joke.
What was interesting was that both of us acknowledged that we have heard him say some good things - and that is the problem: We were factoring in what he says.
It is irrelevant. I will not even listen to his comments or read transcripts. His words are as meaningless as the words on that famous piece of paper held up by Neville Chamberlain. Actions are all that matter when assessing the values and principles of politicians like Romney.
