i called Rubio’s miami office to see if they believed the senator was eligible to run as vp by being eligible to assume office.

they believe he is eligible AND a natural born citizen, even tho they admit his parents were cuban when he was born.

like dems, they are pushing the incorrect assumption that being a citizen born in the US makes you a natural born citizen.

this is concerning as these people are working in a US senator’s office and don’t have a basic understanding of citizenship in the country

i’ll try the washdc office next and see how that flies. i expect more of the same.

as expected... rubio’s washdc said the same thing.

the staffer believes he is a natural born citizen because he’s a citizen. if you ask what’s the difference, they falter then get back on topic. they can’t explain the difference, as to them a citizen and a natural born citizen are the same... which they are most certainly are not.
