One can do it but it is best to have two or more experienced people. First is the proper equipment. Either remington 760 or mossberg 500 12 gage riot guns with extended tubular mags will do and you will need two of them per shooter. Forget 00 buckshot and lay in a good supply of #4 buckshot and saboted slugs. A good amount of range time will be needed for practice not only in learning how to effectively use the shotguns but also in learning to coordinate fire when the mob comes knocking on your door. With two shooters practice starting in the middle and working out to both sides with one shooter choosing targets to the left and the other to the right. With three shooters one takes the middle while the others start on the ends and work their way toward the center. Practice shooting at different rates of fire so everyone does not run out of ammo at the same time. With the second shotgun practice snap shooting a basket ball from 7 to 20 yards with the slugs. Practice reloading so it is a programmed movement. Deploy the #4 buckshot first then step back to a predetermined location with cover and exchange riot guns. By this time any threat will be coming from behind a car of fence. Don't worry about shooting the exposed bad guy, if you know they are hiding there and honestly believe that they are still a threat shoot through the car of the fence and let the slugs do their work. Handling violent mobs is not impossible. You just have to have the ability and will to bring superior firepower to the game.
