Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.

This year’s shoot will be held at Schwenke’s Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.

The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.

I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. I’m thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.

Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.

It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.

I can’t play like that...lol. Mostly sing and write stuff the better musicians play sometimes...lol.

Omg...that is so funny. I played the French horn in high school. Dad use to tell everyone I was ‘second chair’....ther were only two of us....lol.

The TPX is coming near Fresno on the day we’re leaving for Texas so we’ll join them for their rally in Hanford on Oct 1, then head south from there.

Is this the organization of pot bellied beer gutted old guys that dress up in quazi cowboy gear, and stomp around with a pair of Walmart boots and spurs shooting those Pooch Pistols, 32, 38 and 40 caliber loaded down guns. Some guys just never grow up.Like the High School Football Hero's that are still wearing the High School Football Jersey at age 47.

I wasn’t very good either....I HATED practicing! LOL!

I did play in a community band several years ago. It was fun and the poor conductor didn’t pass judgement on our dismal abilities! LOL!

It was a weird instrument as I recall. We always were playing something the rest of the band wasn’t playin. Sheet music different than everybody else....lol. Like the stepchildren of the band...lol.
