The army has been running Egypt since Nasser. They're running it now and still collecting billions in tribute.
They'll be running it in the future.
The Egyptian Brotherhood was wiped out once before.

The sooner the “Brotherhood” is crushed in any way that is at least as brutal as they are is a good thing. Why? Islamic radicles only under brute force and only fear brute force stronger and nastier than they are.

There are lurking in the shadows the monied interests who collaborate with if not control the military.
Together they will sort it all out and maintain control.

Not too often it is a good thing for a military to be running a country. This is one case where I pray they have a firm grip and are able to keep the islamic wave from washing over another once benign nation.

Some members of the army are Islamists. They are the ones who killed Sadat. If the Islamists seize the army, Egypt is sunk.
If the Islamists are ascendant in Egypt, it will sink into poverty and backwardness.
