I suppose this is what happens when a maniac sees his nation going down the toilet of socialist mediocrity. He targets and wipes out an island full of teenagers who are attending a camp to be nurtured and groomed to be the political elite of the future with the goal of furthering the socialist/communist agenda.

His goal was to bring attention to a "manifesto" of sorts that he wrote and disseminated via email just prior to detonating the truck bomb in Oslo, which spells out his political views.
