The 411,618 square foot Solyndra building in Fremont, California has been put on the market:

The office area of the grand compound are "LEED Gold Standards," according to a website set up to sell the building. It's "Expandable to 739,232 square feet."

Solyndra, the green energy firm that received $528 million in a Department of Energy loan, filed for bankruptcy in September. As Bloomberg reported, "Solyndra, heralded by President Barack Obama as proof that 'the promise of clean energy isn’t just an article of faith,' filed for bankruptcy in September, days before the FBI raided its headquarters in Fremont, California. The company received a $535 million loan guarantee under the Energy Department’s Loan Guarantee Program in September 2009 that was funded by the Treasury’s Federal Financing Bank, a government corporation created by Congress in 1973."

Now how could anyone possibly object to fedgov running companies and entire industries?

So what’s the price;

thirty twice?

(From Bozar, on Harlem radio in the 1950’s advertising Ripple wine to the homies)

(Great homework time memories of soul jazz)

I believe you were stumbling into the jingle for my favorite gift wines for dinner parties.

"What's the word? Thunderbird"

"How's it sold? Nice and cold"

"What's the jive? Birds Alive"

"What's the price? Thirty twice"

LOL

1/2 the buildings around there are empty and those are easy TI’s.

This building is looking for someone who needs it just the way it is.

Doesn’t matter, all the rest of the buildings are going to stay empty for years and this own will as well.

So glad I did not hire on when they wanted me too... they were at their pinnacle at the time. It just didn’t feel right. Thank you God

Oh man,

You are absolutely right! T-Bird. So sorry that my memory fades like an Alzeimers fart!

Do you remember the guy who always said Bozar! on a Harlem radio station?

Great show, and he always filled in his background with some great soft jazz (55 years later, I forget who - but I bought the 33 album).

My only real problem, is that I listened to him whilst trying to do math homework - I still suck at math!

Thank you so much for correcting me.

Good rule of thumb if Obama is investing in it....

RUN!

If Biden is touring the place claiming it’s the best thing since sliced bread....

RUN FASTER!

What? Are you not Patriotic? You could be on unemployment now and getting this economy going again. Just ask Stretch Pelosi.

"Unemployment insurance, the economists tell us, return $2 for every $1 that is put out there for unemployment insurance," Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on the House floor.

"It injects demand into the economy, it creates jobs to help reduce the deficit," Pelosi said.

Yep, sure is. Drove by there two weeks ago and saw the sign on the one building. What they don’t show is the other Solyndra building a few hundred yards down the access road that is almost as large. No sale sign on it yet.

Great pictures. This building would make a great bullet train station. Imagine all the beds it would house. They could run high speed rail right up from L.A., right through that building, and extend service North to all the way to Sacramento. This would bring an army of well heeled customers. And keep that sign they have outside the building.
“SOLYNDRA” would provide perfect name recognition for a whorehouse.

Glad I felt otherwise
